Panino’s Pizza is located in the heart of downtown Orlando. They have generous portions, a friendly staff, and great deals. On Mondays and Tuesdays, they offer $1.50 slices of cheese pizza, and discounts on slices of all their specialty pizza. Their slices are big too. One slice should leave you satisfied, and after two slices, you should be stuffed. It’s definitely a great place to grab lunch downtown.

The great thing about NYPD Pizza is their lunch specials. Monday through Friday from 11am to 4pm, NYPD Pizza offers a different specialty slice for only $1. And, if you eat lunch there 7 times in a calendar month you get a free 14 inch pizza. I did this both to earn the free pizza and to try their different specialty slices. At the end of the month I was pretty sick of their pizza. The pizza is good but not so good that I would eat there several times in a month. I wouldn’t even want to eat at my favorite pizza place that often. The pizza is good, and some of the specialty pizzas, like the barbecue chicken pizza or Hawaiian pizza are really good.

I think their loyalty program hurts them more than it helps. Sure, it got me in the door 7 times in one month, but I have only been back once in the past few months because I’m sick of their pizza. If they really want to have a loyalty program, they should just do the usual free lunch every 10th visit.

Cornerstone Pizza is good. Nothing outstanding, but an acceptable pizza place in the area. You won’t be wowed by the pizza, but you won’t be disappointed either.

This is a nice little pizza place in downtown Celebration. They sell pizza by the slice. It is slightly more expensive than other pizza places in town, but I’m sure that is due to its location. There’s only standing room inside, with a couple tables outside, so dining in comfortably isn’t always an option.

A Slice of NY Pizza

  • Food Quantity: 8/10
  • Cleanliness: 7/10
  • Atmosphere: 7/10
  • Service: 8/10
  • Price: $5-$10

A Slice of NY Pizza has great pizza, and great customer service. They have a lunch special, 2 slices of cheese pizza and a can of soda for $5. I asked for a bottle of soda, and I would pay the difference, but they still only charged me $5. Rather than get a little more money out of me that day, they opted for great customer service. The only gripe I have with A Slice of NY is their crust. The crust is nice and thick, and fluffy, but doesn’t have any flavor. Some type of sauce for dipping would really complement the great pizza. Regardless of the crust, I would recommend this place.
