There is a new policy at Darden restaurants, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, Seasons 52, and The Capital Grill. Servers have been given orders to only bring one piece of bread per person to the table each time the table asks for more bread. This might be seen as a way to save money, and cut back on waste, but I think it makes the restaurants look cheap, and only occupies the servers more, possibly degrading service. With regard to cutting back on waste, I know I usually have leftovers and will bring home any uneaten bread as well. To cut back on waste, they could easily ask the table if they would like bread at all, and if so, how much each time.
Denny’s is running a special offering all you can eat pancakes and french fries with the purchase of a meal $2.50 or more containing at least one of the two items. If that sounds confusing, you have to buy a meal for $2.50 or more, and your meal has to include pancakes and/or french fries.

Papa John’s is currently running a special, any large pizza, any toppings, for just $10. This includes specialty pizzas, and double toppings. Your savings will vary by location, but a large cheese pizza typically costs more than $10 on its own, and toppings are usually $1 or more each. I recommend pepperoni, onions, and green peppers, it makes for an excellent combination.
Mochi Frozen Yogurt offers all natural frozen yogurt in a variety of flavors. They rotate their flavors, but have several available at all times. It is all self serve, both the yogurt and the toppings. Most of their flavors are a bit unconventional, but they offer free samples. The yogurt is more tart than you might be used to because it is all natural, rather than processed and full of sugar. The toppings include different types of cereal including Fruity Pebbles and Captain Crunch, fresh fruit, a handful of other more common toppings such as crushed candy bars, and mochi.
